A breath alcohol test showed an alarming level of over four per mille. The driver explained that he had consumed alcohol after the trip and could not explain how the vehicle's tires had been damaged. In order to secure further evidence, several blood samples were taken. Although the police searched for possible accident scenes in the area, they were unsuccessful.
