A dramatic fall into the abyss of extremism: The “Saxon Separatists” were arrested on the day of the US elections! A time that could hardly be better chosen. While in the USA people are deciding whether Trump will win or lose the election, a completely different danger is looming in Germany - an uprising of extremes! This group, consisting of the descendants of a decades-long neo-Nazi cadre and a local politician from the AfD, was preparing for a potential takeover of power in the event of a “collapse” of democracy.An explosive mixture!
The AfD's electoral successes give wings to the extreme right-wing camp. Their militant mobilizations can no longer be ignored: whether against CSD parades or a terrible arson attack on a queer bar in Rostock - their attacks are directed against everyone who does not fit into their outdated worldview. And while a few “Saxon separatists” sneak through the woods in camouflage, they are part of a larger, shocking network of right-wing groups that is spreading globally and is closely linked to the AfD and Trump.A dance on the volcano!
Call for responsibility!
Although it is a positive step by the Federal Prosecutor's Office to report these rights, there remains a fine line. The challenges are manifold: Once the right-wing rights become too strong, the state has difficulty fighting them. The hesitant approach to a possible AfD ban and the judiciary's lenient attitude towards Trump show a worrying pattern.A serious warning!
