Drug frenzy in the port: six times cocaine smuggling in the act!
In a dramatic drug case, several alleged drug dealers were caught in Germany and Austria, which smuggled cocaine on a large scale. In November 2024, two Bosnian citizens aged 33 and 37 were arrested in Regau. As ooe.orf.at , the investigators found 150 grams of cocaine in the car of the suspects who had brought the drug -loaded goods from Germany to Austria. It was also found that they were also supplied from Slovenia and that the cocaine in Bosnian restaurants and on a snack bar in the Vöcklabruck district.
As part of the investigation, three other men and one woman were arrested who were also involved in the smuggling trips. According to reports, the alleged perpetrators used the revenues from drug sales in gambling and to pay house loans. There are currently three main suspects in custody, while more than fifty people have been displayed, including numerous potential customers.
