The world of wine in Germany shines in new splendor, as the renowned wine guide editions of “Der Feinschmecker” and “Falstaff” recently announced their best wineries for 2025. 500 wineries were presented in the “Feinschmecker” wine guide and its jury recognized 30 of them as the “best of the best”. These wineries are praised for their outstanding quality; Among them are several top wineries from Rhineland-Palatinate, such as the Fritz Haag winery in Brauneberg, which is undisputedly one of the best wine producers. The jury judges that “everything is just right” and recommends that you definitely try, buy and enjoy the outstanding wines sol.de is reported.

Other award winners include the Ernst F. Loosen winery and the Joh. Jos winery. Prüm in Bernkastel-Kues, the latter of which is already known for the outstanding quality of its Rieslings. In Lieser, Thomas Haag's Schloss Lieser winery is causing a stir with its “almost perfect Riesling vintage collection”. Influential awards and a success story

The “Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2025” also highlights the special quality of German wine. Over 4,000 wines from more than 500 wineries were tested here, documenting the brilliance of the German wine landscape. At a festive gala at the Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg, where the best winemakers and their creations were celebrated, the editor of Falstaff, Prof. Wolfgang Rosam, praised the impressive results and continued the success story of German wine. This is also reflected in the awarding of five times the maximum score of 100 points, which is unprecedented in the guide's history. These top results were awarded, among others, to the Zeller Kreuzberg Riesling from the Battenfeld-Spanier winery and the Oberrotweiler Henkenberg Pinot Gris, as “Falstaff” reports.

With 146 Rieslings and 69 award-worthy Pinot Noirs, the leaders of the wine industry show that the 2023 vintage delivers exceptional quality that delights both local and national connoisseurs.
