European sales figures show the positive response: In 2024, the international sales of Changan reached 536,196 vehicles, which corresponds to an increase of 49.6 % compared to the previous year. In January 2025, sales were already 62,016 vehicles, with an increase of 10 % in the year. The focus is on the introduction of region-specific models and the improvement of local production and delivery charging efficiency.

The Changan initiative comes at a time when the EU Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, has opened a strategic dialogue about the future of the European automotive industry. This dialogue aims to address the challenges of the sector and ensure that the automotive industry will continue to contribute to the EU economy successfully in the future.
