Customs reaches through: serious exams in the freight forwarding industry!
Bremen (ots)
On Tuesday, November 13, 2024, the financial control of undeclared work (FKS) of the main customs office Bremen carried out a large-scale control in the freight forwarding, transport and logistics industry. The campaign took place in Bremen, Bremerhaven and at the rest area on the A1 in Sittensen. Trucks and courier vehicles were pulled out of circulation and brought to the checkpoints. The aim of the intensive review? Combating undeclared work!
A total of over 50 exams were carried out and the results are alarming: In seven cases, the following checks of employers are required. The non -compliance with the minimum wage in three cases and possible service frauds at the expense of the employment agency contain concrete allegations. There was also suspicion of illegal employment by a non-EU foreigner. The customs officers want to uncover everything and demand consequences!
Black and clear statements
The press spokesman for the main customs office Bremen, Volker von Maurich, makes it clear: "Undersonal work damages our welfare state." This statement underlines how important the controls are. In addition to examining the minimum wage and social security contributions, care is taken to ensure that employees do not receive illegal grants from the employment agency. Customs acts tirelessly against this grievance, because undeclared work is not a cavalier offense! It endangers jobs, leads to tax losses and damages the entire economy.
