If you are looking for a good meal, you should try the traditional tamales that consist of corn porridge and meat in a banana leaf. "A common mistake among tourists is that you eat the sheet!" The waiter smiles, which makes the atmosphere even more cheerful.

The "Museo del Oro" or gold museum is the next exciting stop on our trip. Here the deep cultural connection between the region and the gold is clearly explained. The Muisca-Indios, known for their particularly fine goldsmithing, viewed gold not only as a material value, but also as a spiritual connection to nature and their gods. Jürgen reports of a legend about the "gold raft of Eldorado", in which a new ruler of gold dust was driven to a religious ritual on a raft.
