Large construction site in Gördenallee: diversions for trucks and residents affected!
In an important development measure, the level crossing on Gördenallee will be completely closed due to extensive construction work. This closure not only has an impact on vehicle traffic, but also on local public transport and residents. The necessary diversions and measures have already been determined to ensure smooth traffic and accessibility for residents.
The diversion for trucks over 16 tons is from the direction of Plaue via Briest and Tieckow to the B102, from there it continues on Rathenower Landstrasse. This diversion is of great importance to avoid traffic jams and delays on other roads.
Public transport and access for residents
Public buses will no longer run for the entire duration of the full closure, which will affect passenger mobility. It is important to mention that tram service will not be interrupted on this route, so passengers can continue to use this public transport. However, there is a diversion for pedestrians and cyclists: they will be guided past the construction site via the summer path, which ensures continued access to important paths.
As part of this construction work, urgently needed road maintenance measures are also being carried out between the level crossing and the Veilchenweg junction. These measures are important to keep road infrastructure in good condition and prevent potential damage.
BRAWAG also plans to complete the work on the main drinking water pipeline on Gördenallee between the junctions of Geranienweg and Weberstraße. As part of this, half of Gördenallee will also be closed, which underlines the need to complete this work efficiently and quickly.
The affected residents of Gördenallee can reach their properties despite the complete closure. In order to carry out the necessary preparatory work, the junction areas Gördenallee/Geranienweg and Gördenallee/Weberstraße will be completely closed from October 21st. During this time, access for residents is only via Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Straße. These measures are critical to ensure residents continue to have access to their homes while construction progresses.
