Saxony-Anhalt will present itself in Berlin from January 17th to 26th, 2025 at the Green Week. The event takes place in the Länderhalle 23b and focuses on future -oriented agriculture, science and regional moments of pleasure. The program will offer a variety of regional specialties and lighthouse projects from the agricultural and nutritional economy. Special highlights are the Altmarks snail farm, which introduces a snail pate that was developed as part of a research project with the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
In addition, food generators in the Saxony-Anhalt-Halle will present the largest menu in the federal state, which includes mini-filinchen and the "Harzer herbal witch". The various regions of Saxony-Anhalt, including Altmark, Harz, Elbe-Börde-Heide, Saale-Unstrut and Anhalt-Dessau-Wittenberg, are also presented. The Green Week will be held for the 89th time in 2025. The ticket purchase in advance is recommended and children under the age of six have free admission. On the campaign days in the Saxony-Anhalt-Halle on January 18 (regional day: Altmark), January 20 (Saxony-Anhalt Day with the presentation of the organic regional award), 21 January (regional day: Elbe-Börde-Heide), 22nd January (regional day: Harz & Mansfeld-Südharz), January 23: Saale-Unstrut), 24. January (Agriculture Day) and 25 January (regional day: World Heritage Region Anhalt-Dessau-Wittenberg) are the focus of regional products and traditions.
The “Green Week” trade fair is described as a leading international trade fair for nutrition, agriculture and horticulture and is a valuable platform for domestic producers and regional specialties. According to the agricultural marketing company Sachsen-Anhalt mbH, colorful regional days are also planned this year, which give visitors insight into various areas of Saxony-Anhalt.
The 88th Green Week successfully ended with over 100 exhibitors from Saxony-Anhalt, and around 275,000 guests visited the fair. A slight decline in the number of visitors was attributed to rail strikes, while consumer behavior increased, with over 150 euros being spent on consumption and products. The sales figures in the Saxony-Anhalt-Halle were impressive: 1,000 liters of coffee, 12,500 sausages, 4,500 liters of beer and 1,800 kg of tree cake.
