A terrifying incident occurred on December 31, 2024 when a 13-year-old boy from the Villach-Land district experimented with a firecracker in the F2 category. Around 7:00 a.m., the young person broke the firecracker apart in the middle and filled the black powder into a plastic box. The boy then tried to light the ignition cord, which tragically led to detonation. As a result of the explosion, he suffered serious injuries to his hand and had to be flown to the Klagenfurt Clinic immediately after the emergency doctor.
