Camping hit in the Innviertel: New parking spaces surprise guests!
Schärding, Österreich - In Upper Austria, the camping culture is raised to a new level! The Baumgartner brewery is planning to open a brand new campsite directly at the picturesque Inn in Schärding, probably in mid -April. A total of 37 parking spaces are created on a spacious area of 6,700 square meters, which are divided into four different categories. Managing Director Gerhard Altendorfer illustrates: "We can therefore meet all requirements and respond individually to the wishes and vehicles of the guests." This Initiative promises to share the impressive landscape with numerous visitors who want to enjoy nature to the fullest.
The opening of the campsite comes at a time when interest in camping vacation in Austria is booming. In 2024, 8.5 million overnight stays were recorded nationwide at campsites, which corresponds to an increase of over two percent compared to the previous year. In Upper Austria there was even an increase of over three percent to 512,000 overnight stays. This development shows that camping is not only in demand in summer, but also gains popularity all year round. The region around the Mondsee is particularly outstanding, where a campsite in Tiefgraben was chosen among the best in Austria, as ooe.orf.at reported.
The combination of first -class camping and the refreshing beer specialties of the brewery lets the anticipation to the new location in Schärding. The campsite will not only be an enrichment for all camping fans, but also for the entire region that hopes for tourists' influx - a perfect place for unforgettable weekends at the Inn!
