Volunteers from Schleswig-Holstein at the New Year's reception in Berlin!

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier invites you to the traditional New Year's reception in Berlin on January 10, 2025. The reception takes place at 10 a.m. in Bellevue Castle, where around 200 guests are expected. Among the invited guests are also six volunteers from Schleswig-Holstein who have emerged through their social engagement.

The volunteers are committed to young people, cancer patients and people in life crises. They are accompanied by Schleswig-Holstein's deputy Prime Minister Aminata Touré (Greens). A total of 60 citizens from all over Germany were invited to their commitment. A lunch is planned in the large hall of the castle.

The following people were invited to the reception:

• Verena Balve (middle fishing, district of Schleswig-Flensburg): Chair of the association "Lichtblick Flensburg", involved in the suicide prevention for children and adolescents.
• Moritz Dietzsch (Kiel): Deputy Chairman of the State Youth Ring and co -founder of the “Restteritter” project, which produces Chutneys and jams from non -sold fruit and vegetables.
• Tina Hindersmann-Schmidt (Langwedel, Rendsburg-Eckernförde district): Second chair of the Marin Youth in Kiel, which enables sailing for children and adolescents from various social classes.
• Esther Irmer (Kalübbe, Plön district): Chairman of the Self -Aid Association Kiel Breast Cancer Protects, is committed to investigating and helping breast cancer.
• Karina and Gerd Vahder (Braderup, Northern Friesland district): engaged in the "Hans-Momsen-Gesellschaft", take care of the preservation of the house in Fahretoft and run a museum café.
