A new chapter for market lie! The pop-up Fichtellab has opened its gates in the former Café Schoberth and brings a breath of fresh air to the region. After the success in Kirchenlamitz, the innovation hub is now ready to offer citizens and entrepreneurs access to the latest technology. Here creative minds can realize their ideas and implement innovative projects.

The Fichtellab is a true technology paradise! The creativity of the users is encouraged with co-working places, modern meeting rooms and impressive technical equipment, including 3D printer, a brand new 3D scanner, VR glasses and even drones. "We want to make the Fichtelgebirge sustainable," explains district administrator Peter Berek. Mayor Sabrina Kaestner emphasizes that the time -honored Café Schoberth is brought back to life and becomes the center for innovative ideas. Tradition and progress meet here!

In the next four months, the Fichtellab will become an exciting event in the setting! There is something for everyone from an information event to 5G campus networks to regular gaming and maker regulars. The first pub party is celebrated on October 31, 2024! The Fichtellab is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the premises can also be booked outside of these times.
