New FichtelLAB in Marktleuthen: Innovation center for everyone!

A new chapter for market people! The pop-up FichtelLAB has opened its doors in the former Café Schoberth and is bringing a breath of fresh air to the region. After the success in Kirchenlamitz, the innovation hub is now ready to offer citizens and entrepreneurs access to the latest technology. Here creative minds can realize their ideas and implement innovative projects.

The FichtelLAB is a true technology paradise! User creativity is encouraged with co-working spaces, modern meeting rooms and impressive technical equipment, including 3D printers, a brand new 3D scanner, VR glasses and even drones. “We want to make the Fichtelgebirge fit for the future,” explains District Administrator Peter Berek. Mayor Sabrina Kaestner emphasizes that the time-honored Café Schoberth will be brought back to life and become a center for innovative ideas. This is where tradition and progress meet!

A place for events and exchange

Over the next four months, the FichtelLAB will be the venue for exciting events! From an information event on 5G campus networks to regular gaming and maker get-togethers, there is something for everyone. The first pub party will be celebrated on October 31, 2024! The FichtelLAB is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the rooms can also be booked outside of these times.
