New life in the August Schuster House: winter fun at the Pürschling!

The mountains of Unterammergau will soon be revived by new faces! Johannes Hammerl and Stefan Kehl, two passionate mountain fans, will take over the popular August Schuster-Haus on the Pürschling from the end of November. The two have long been involved in the Bergland - Hammerl Alpine Association as Hüttenwart and Kehl as chairman. With a fresh vigor and a large portion of anticipation, you want to open the hut in winter from Friday to Sunday until the new tenant Judith takes over Schlögel in summer.

Although you have not yet managed your own mountain hut, Hammerl and Kehl cannot be discouraged. "Our heart just hangs on the hut," they emphasize. You will receive support from an experienced team that will ensure culinary highlights. A special highlight: On F from that, a sheep's head evening is organized to keep the traditional card game in the region alive. On the second weekend in Advent, families are invited to decorate cookies together - fun for young and old!

A culinary experience in the mountains

The menu will be varied and also include classics such as Kaiserschmarrn, which has not been offered for a long time. With space for 60 guests and the option to stay overnight, the August Schuster House is becoming a popular destination for hikers and connoisseurs. Hammerl and Kehl are happy to take over the hut temporarily, especially since the necessary renovations, such as the connection to the canal network, have already been completed.

The change comes at the right time after Hubert Spindler left the hut after 16 years. Judith Schlögel, who will take over the management in summer, already has gastronomic experience, and Hammerl and Kehl are convinced that you have made the perfect choice. "We will actively support them at the beginning," they assure. But now the focus is on your own responsibility and anticipation for the coming winter season!
