55 new parking spaces in Erlangen: Relief for the city center!

From now on, 55 parking spaces are available in Erlangen in the large parking lot near the city center, which had previously been rented to the University Hospital Erlangen since August 1, 2023. The clinic now has the opportunity to use an urban area on the Bergkirchweih area. The parking spaces are located north of the Neustädter cemetery, between Friedrich-List- and Münchener Strasse.

eleven parking spaces remain rented to the Erlangen municipal utilities. The parking spaces that are now available should contribute to relief in the city center. The parking garage of the university clinics offers 380 day and weekly parking spaces that are accessible via the palm system. The facilities of the university clinic can be reached from the large car park by bus, taxi or on foot in about 10 minutes. The free City Line 299 runs every 15 minutes to the university clinic, and barrier-free buses start at the bus station, which is opposite the large parking lot.

The City Line stops are located at the locations of university clinics/Maximiliansplatz and the University Straße intersection. The parking garage of the university clinics, located in Kussmaulallee 14, cannot be reached directly from the head clinics. Visitors should follow the signage "Parkhaus Uni-Kliniken" via the Neue Straße, MaximilianSplatz, Hindenburgstrasse and Palmsanlage. The head clinics can be reached from the parking garage via a footpath of 250 meters.
