Tragedy in Uttenreuth: Senior woman dies after house fire despite rescue!

In the night from 11th to January 12, 2025, a tragic fire occurred in a family home in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district. At around 0:15 a.m. the fire brigade was alerted to the assignment after a witness noticed the fire and immediately informed the rescue workers.

When the fire brigade arrived, the emergency services found the building in flames, whereby there was a strong smoke development. Inside the house, the firefighters discovered an unconscious 79-year-old senior citizen who immediately saved them. Despite the immediate medical care in the ambulance, the woman succumbed to her serious injuries and died.
