Dillingen's Lions Advent calendar: 314 prices for good purposes!

In the Dillingen district, the beginning of the Advent calendar campaign of the Lions Club is an annual highlight, which many people are looking forward to. President Daniela von Hauch announced that a total of 314 prizes with a total value of 25,542 euros will be drawn this year. However, these profits are not the main goal of the campaign; Rather, the proceeds are used to support numerous social projects, including the reader aid plant file of need.

This campaign, which has now been in the 13th round, has proven to be extremely successful over the past twelve years. Almost all previous sponsors have also agreed to donate attractive prizes this year. The proceeds of the advent calendar alone have brought the reader aid plant around 96,000 euros. Buyers can not only take the chance of prices, but also help people in need in the region by acquiring a calendar for only six euros. The profits can be followed in the home newspaper and on the Internet.

social projects benefit

For each of the 24 doors of the advent calendar, at least 14 prices are drawn. The donations collected with it go to various social facilities, including the Dillinger Tafel, the St. Clara children's home in Gundelfingen and the Child Protection Association. In addition, the Bona inclusion run project known in the region is also supported, which is specifically organizing events for people with special needs.

A total of 6666 copies of the calendar were produced, which show a new, festive motif. The artist Anton Oberfrank immortalized the Lauinger marketplace in winter style with people and Santa Claus. He is known in the region as a former rector of the Friedberger Konradin Realschule and has already found great recognition through his illustrations.

The sale of the advent calendar starts next Saturday, October 12th, and ends on November 16. All calendars are numbered and the daily winning numbers are published in the newspaper and online. The draw is under the supervision of notary Sonja Egner from Dillingen. Franks Kunz, the mayor of Dillingen, once again took over the patronage for this charity.

President Daniela von Hauch hopes that many citizens from Dillingen will also support the campaign this year. Some companies in the area even give away advent calendars to their employees as a sign of appreciation. "Our goal is to sell all 6666 calendars so that the entire proceeds will benefit the aid projects," said von Hauch.
