Aschaffenburg Christmas Market: New fees and delicious surprises!
The Aschaffenburg Christmas market, a true feast for the senses, opens its doors on November 23rd at 6 p.m.! The anticipation is huge because the first visitors can explore the festively decorated stands from 10 a.m. Until December 22nd, guests can look forward to a diverse range of offerings every day, with stands open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm and on Sunday from 11am to 9pm. The only exception: the market remains closed on Dead Sunday, November 24th.
But it's not just the festive atmosphere that attracts people, but also the culinary highlights! New this year are the delicious Iranian dumplings, the Reshteh Khoshkar, filled with a tempting mix of nuts, cardamom and cinnamon. In addition, the creative restaurateur Kasra Adloo ensures a taste explosion with raclette and hand-scraped spaetzle from his food truck - a perfect combination of Swiss and Swabian cuisine!
Price increases and musical highlights
A downer for the organizers is the increased Gema fees, which are now charged across the entire area of the Schlossplatz. On a day with a stage program you have to pay an impressive 663.26 euros. In order to reduce these costs, the stage program is limited to weekends, with the exception of St. Nicholas Day on December 5th. But don't worry, the festive background music stays active even during the week and creates the right mood.
Santa Claus is traditionally expected on December 5th, and the musical program is also enriched from Friday to Sunday with regional music ensembles on the festively lit stage. For younger visitors there is a children's carousel, a Ferris wheel and a large Christmas pyramid. The anticipation of mulled wine, roasted almonds and the popular Dinnele flat cakes is also great. However, visitors should prepare for the hustle and bustle of Advent on public transport in order to start the festive season safely and happily!
