Kümmersbruck veteran celebrates 90 years: fit and full of joie de vivre!

The 90th birthday of Ernst Klober from Kümmersbruck was duly celebrated after he demonstrated his wisdom "Fit like a sneaker" in the best health and fitness. Klober and his wife Erika have developed a routine for years that leads them to nearby gym several times a week. With the Kloers, the sport is not limited to the gym; Weekly bike tours, often over 50 kilometers, belong to their active lifestyle.

Ernst Klober, born in 1934 in Kümmersbruck, looks back on a fulfilling life story. After his school days in his hometown, he learned the baker's trade at Götz-Gustl in Amberg. But the passion for technology led him to the Bundeswehr in 1956 for twelve years, where he served as a radio master at the armored battalion 104 in the Leopold barracks. After his time at the Bundeswehr, Klober decided to look for a new challenge and trained as a television technician. In 1968 he passed the master's examination and became self-employed as a radio and television technician.

Private life and family

In 1961 he married his wife Erika, who worked at Siemens in Amberg. The couple was blessed with three daughters, to which two grandchildren have also been added over the years. The Klobers were always active in sports and had already experienced many bike travel adventures. They repeatedly drove to Vienna by bike, which is not only a sporting challenge, but also a fulfillment of their desire to travel.

In 1993 Ernst Klober ended his career as a master radio and television technician and treated himself to a motorhome with which he and Erika have traveled through Europe since then. They led their trips far, including to the famous North Cape. These adventures have given their relationship and family cohesion a special status.

Mayor Roland Strehl was honored for the 90th birthday, who presented him with a congratulations certificate and a shopping voucher. In addition to the personal congratulations from the mayor, Klober also received greetings from the district administrator Richard Reisinger, who handed over the district medal in bronze and a cuddly ceiling. These honors not only underline Klober's personal appreciation in the community, but also document the respect that his life path and active lifestyle have achieved.

The celebrations on the occasion of his round birthday were not only an opportunity to look back on his moving life, but also to show young people and the community that age is not an obstacle to an active lifestyle. Ernst Klober remains a lively example of the fact that vitality and lust for life can still bloom even in old age.
