Memmingen, Deutschland - On Wednesday, June 5, 2025, a Ryanair machine experienced turbulent moments on the flight from Berlin to Milan. Due to strong turbulence, the machine, which had 179 passengers and 6 crew members on board, had to land unplanned at Memmingen Airport. A total of nine people were injured, including eight passengers and a crew member. Three of the injured, including a two -year -old child with bruises, had to be taken to the hospital. Likewise, a woman suffered from a head wound and another passenger had back problems. The captain called for medical help while Ryanair organized buses for onward journey because the Southern Bavaria air was not approved.

Serious storms in southern Germany contributed to the dramatic Situation. These were caused by the storm low "Tim" and extended from Upper Bavaria to Baden-Württemberg, which led to around 200 missions by the police and fire brigade. The highest wind speeds of over 100 km/h were measured in Langquaid, while the largest hail with a diameter of about 7 cm was recorded in Schöngeising. In Regensburg, 26 liters of rain fell per square meter within a short time, which in combination with the gusts of wind led to dangerous conditions.

The storms caused far -reaching disabilities in everyday life. A campus festival in Regensburg had to be canceled and a football game by the Nations League between Germany and Portugal in Munich was late. Road conditions also became critical in many areas, especially in Augsburg, where flooded lanes affected traffic. Numerous trees were blown away in the Aichach-Friedberg district, and in Ulm there were suspected reports about a possible tornado during a short storm front, but which the fire brigade classified as "small wind pants".

The dangers caused by the current conditions include not only lightning strikes, but also falling trees and floods that can cause aquaplaning on the streets. The aviation and operational teams are required to respond adequately to these natural hazards. The storm center continuously offers information about the current situation and warns of other expected storms. The population is asked to be careful and to adhere to possible further changes in the weather.
