Breastfeeding in Calw: Midwives demand more support for mothers!
Anke Krieg, a midwife from the Calw district, recently focused on the advantages of breastfeeding and the challenges with which mothers are confronted. Support for breastfeeding mothers
The support for breastfeeding mothers is a central aspect that will continue to come to the fore as part of the World Still Week in 2024. A network that is made up of 55 partner institutions will provide information and educational offers to improve breastfeeding friendliness.
Expert support by midwives, health and pediatric nurses as well as child and adolescent doctors are offered at various locations such as gynecologist practices, midwives, obstetrics and more. The network healthy into life is not only concerned with improving breastfeeding friendliness in Germany, but is also supported by several ministries, including the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture as well as the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth.
With various actions and materials, the world light week 2024 is accepted nationwide in order to propagate breastfeeding as a health -promoting measure for mother and child. This global campaign is promoted by organizations such as the WHO and Unicef to emphasize breastfeeding as an important preventive measure.
