Ravensburg CDU politician August Schuler will resign in 2026!

A major change is coming! Ravensburg state parliament member August Schuler (CDU) has announced that he will no longer run in the 2026 state elections. At the age of 65, he will begin a new phase in his life in March 2026. On his homepage he explains that this decision was made after intensive discussions with family and friends. “It was an honor and pleasure for me to represent the concerns of our citizens,” said Schuler, who emphasized that this step was not easy for him.

But that is not the end of his political career! Schuler remains active in the city council and as deputy parliamentary group leader for Ravensburg. He continues to advocate for important issues such as transport, the environment and a vibrant Europe. He has been in the state parliament since 2016 and has received a lot of trust from the citizens. “I am grateful for the support from our local union associations,” he emphasizes. Schuler is convinced that the next generation of the Union is ready to bring a breath of fresh air into politics.

A look into the future

With Manuel Hagel as the future Prime Minister, the CDU Baden-Württemberg wants to set new standards. Schuler calls for people to concentrate on the federal election on February 23, 2025. He wishes all CDU candidates, including Axel Müller and Volker Mayer-Lay, much success. “These candidates will provide the right political impetus for the future,” he is certain.

The Ravensburg-Tettnang constituency, where around 150,000 people live, will continue to benefit from Schuler's commitment. The cities and communities of Tettnang, Meckenbeuren and Neukirch are part of this and are facing exciting challenges. Schuler will remain active until the end of the legislative period with full energy and passion to represent the interests of the citizens.
