Ravensburger CDU politician August Schuler resigned in 2026!
A significant change is imminent! The Ravensburger member of the state parliament August Schuler (CDU) has announced that it no longer competes in the 2026 state election. At the age of 65, he will start a new phase in his life in March 2026. On his homepage, he explains that this decision has been made after intensive conversations with family and friends. "It was an honor and joy to represent the concerns of our citizens," said Schuler, who emphasizes that this step was not easy for him.
But that's not the end of his political career! Schuler remains actively in the city council and as deputy parliamentary group leader for Ravensburg. It continues to campaign for important topics such as traffic, the environment and a living Europe. He has been in the state parliament since 2016 and has received a lot of trust from the citizens. "I am grateful for the support from our Union associations on site," he emphasizes. Schuler is convinced that the next generation of the Union is willing to bring a fresh air to politics.
A look into the future
With Manuel Hagel as the future prime minister, the CDU Baden-Württemberg wants to set new standards. Schuler calls for concentrating on the Bundestag election on February 23, 2025. He wishes all CDU candidates, including Axel Müller and Volker Mayer-Lay. "These candidates will set the right political impulses for the future," he is certain.
The constituency of Ravensburg-Tetnang, in which around 150,000 people live, will continue to benefit from Schuler's commitment. The cities and municipalities of Tettnang, Meckenbeuren and Neukirch are part of it and face exciting challenges. Schuler remains active with full energy and passion until the end of the legislative period to represent the interests of the citizens.
