Ravensburg: 200 new parking spaces for Christmas business from November 16th!
There is exciting news for drivers in Ravensburg! After the upper parking deck of the Oberamtei car park had to be closed and demolished due to static problems, 80 sought-after parking spaces in the city center were lost. Retailers are in turmoil because without parking spaces, retail suffers. But now rescue comes!
The company Reisch Projektentwicklung has come up with a plan to put an end to the parking shortage! After the demolition work on the properties at Ziegelstrasse 22 to 26 and Friedrich-Schiller-Strasse 28, a temporary parking area will be created. “We are temporarily creating additional parking areas in the immediate vicinity of the city center,” announced Reisch Projektentwicklung in a press release.
Parking at a bargain price!
From Saturday, November 16th, an impressive 200 new parking spaces will be available in Ravensburger Südstadt! “In the next two weeks, the area will be gravelled and prepared,” explains Ingo Traub, Managing Director at Reisch Project Development. And the best thing: the first three hours only cost 1 euro per hour, after that a daily maximum rate of 4 euros applies! A real bargain for visitors and commuters!
The Pro Ravensburg Economic Forum is enthusiastic about this initiative. “Additional parking options are being created here just in time for the Christmas business,” says Wifo board spokesman Thomas Reischmann. Ravensburg's mayor Daniel Rapp is also pleased: "A good offer for day guests in Ravensburg! My thanks go to Reisch Projektentwicklung!" The parking spaces will remain in place for three to four years before the area is redeveloped. There is great anticipation for the new parking options!
