Large traffic project in the Mühlviertel: Start of construction for liquid traffic!
In the city of Heidelberg, drivers breathe up! The extensive expansion of the Czernyring has now been completed. With the new four-lane road between the Czerny and the Montpellier Bridge, traffic in this important traffic axis is massively relieved. Cyclists and pedestrians in particular benefit from the broader paths that offer security and more space. The cycle paths are now two -lined in both directions, and the sidewalks measure impressive three meters in width. These measures were necessary to cope with the increased traffic, especially through the new district of Bahnstadt, according to Heidelberg24
New traffic project in the Mühlviertel
At the same time, significant traffic projects are promoted in the Austrian Mühlviertel. The mayor of Unterwitsdorf, Johannes Matzinger, announced that the preparatory work for the expansion of the traffic management on the motorway exit from the S10 started. The official construction work begins from March 10th. The project comprises a four -lane road and a two -lane departure ramp on the Mühlviertel expressway to optimize the traffic at the northern end of the Mühlviertel. The total costs for this project amount to around 13 million euros, and the work should be completed by December 2025, as reported.
While traffic in Heidelberg due to the striving for more security for all road users will increase significantly, the measures in Austria are focused on better traffic management. Both projects reflect the current need to face the growing challenges of urban mobility. The progress in Heidelberg urgently needed capacities for increasing traffic quantities, while the measures in the Mühlviertel should offer more fluid traffic and more security for drivers.
