There was a serious accident in Esslingen on Thursday, January 10, 2025, in which an 80-year-old cyclist was hit by a van. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Stettener Straße when the 47-year-old driver of the van ignored the cyclist's right of way when turning.
The cyclist was traveling down the valley road on her Pedelec and had the right to drive in the area. As a result of the collision, the 80-year-old fell and sustained serious injuries. An emergency doctor immediately provided first aid before the injured person was transported to a clinic. The police estimate the property damage at around 3,500 euros Stuttgart News reported.
