Fifth season: Six new ones welcomed to the Aalener Meckergoißa!

Aalen, Deutschland - The Aalen Carnival guild for the acidic Meckereck (AFZ) opened the fifth season with a special ceremony on Monday, January 6th. In mild and dry weather, six new members were included in the group of Aalener Meckergoißa. Under the direction of mask master Silke Gaißler, the traditional baptism of the new members with vinegar water.

President Timo Rieg welcomed the audience present and friends with warm words. The newly admitted members - Fabian Zwick, Mirjam Zwick, Apollonia Weitmann, Nicole Papp, Julian Gentner and Thomas Malorny - will be active in the Ostalbkreis and beyond in the coming months. The next appearances are already planned, including the "Malle Ahoi" party on January 18 in the Ulrich Pfeifle-Halle, in which the artists "Almklausi" and "Marry", known from the Megapark on Ballermann, will appear. The Aalen Carnival guild has been active since the Mardi Gras Tuesday 1966. The first event originally took place in the Winterche property, the former vinegar factory. On April 1, 1969, the AFZ was founded in the Roter Ochsen inn. Today, AFZ looks after around 300 members who are organized in various active groups, including three guards for all age groups, a men's ballet, a mixed ballet, a Shwoballett group and numerous handmade speakers.
