Liebenwalde.35-year-old Anne Heinz, the singing pediatric dentist from Hammer, made it to the semi-finals of DSDS! An exciting moment for the talented woman, who is now one of the final nine out of more than 10,000 applicants. “Shortly before his death, I made a promise to Martin that we would go on our planned path together on 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar' alone,” she explains emotionally. Her path in the popular RTL casting show is shaped by her tragic story, which she overcomes with unshakable courage.
Anne, who is not only a power woman in her Dentiland dental practice in Wandlitz, but also an active author and speaker, has been through a lot in the last few months. The death of her long-time partner, Martin Wenzel, who died at the age of 31 after a long battle with cancer, has rocked her world. “We both applied to DSDS and Martin’s wish was for me to go this route alone,” she says. Despite the pain, she decided to continue pursuing her dream and wow the jury with her singing.
Emotional performances and strong messages
During her first appearance at Europa-Park Rust, Anne couldn't hold back her tears. "I'm standing here alone, but actually there are two of us. Martin is watching from above and we're going on this journey together as agreed," she told the jury. Her self-composed song “Illumina” touched the hearts of the audience and the jury alike. With a powerful performance of Helene Fischer's “Phenomenon” she once again proved that she can be at the top of the show. "It's already unique. I couldn't have dreamed of it better," she beams after her success.
Anne doesn't let negative comments on social media get her down. “Just because it has now become normal for some internet idiots to spread garbage doesn’t mean I have to tolerate it,” she countered strongly on Instagram. Her journey on DSDS is far from over, and viewers can be excited to see what happens next for the talented Liebenwalder!
