30 years of Caritas: Celebration of charity and vision of the future in Bad Bocklet

Würzburg/Bad Bocklet, November 19, 2024. On Friday, November 15th, Caritas-institutions gGmbH (CEG) celebrated an impressive 30th anniversary in elderly care! The festive event took place in the elegant Kurhaus Hotel in Bad Bocklet and brought together around 140 guests who looked back on the successes of the last three decades and celebrated the power of community.

The CEG, a non-profit organization of the Diocese of Würzburg, has established itself as an indispensable partner for over 1,600 senior citizens. With more than 1,200 committed employees at ten locations in Lower Franconia, CEG ensures a self-determined and dignified life in old age. Managing director Georgsperrle opened the anniversary service in the St. Lawrence Church with the moving words: “Caritas is the face of the church that faces the people.” This statement underlines the warmth and empathy that characterize work in geriatric care.

A celebration full of emotions and retrospections

The celebration was an emotional highlight! Managers and employee representatives from various areas of CEG, including the Kurhaus Hotel and the Vinzenz inclusion company, celebrated together. Dr. Adolf Bauer, the founder of the CEG, was also present and was enthusiastic about the positive development of the organization. The evening offered a successful mix of seriousness and cheerfulness: cabaret artist Birgit Süß ensured hearty laughter, while the tributes to long-standing employees moved many to tears. The event ended in an atmospheric way with music from the 1990s and was reminiscent of the founding of the CEG.

The CEG is optimistic about the future! Despite challenges such as the shortage of skilled workers and the increasing demand for care services, the organization remains determined to meet the high standards. Creative concepts and a clear focus on humanity, respect and charity should pave the way for the coming years. A strong sign for care for the elderly in Germany!
