Culture enthusiasm in Weitensfeld: 40 years of poet stone celebrated!

On August 17, 2025, the Dichterstein Community Zammelsberg celebrated its 40th anniversary in the Gurktal. In a festive week, the members looked back on the rich cultural and literary contributions of the past decades. The chairman Dieter Höling-Gauster and the deputy Ilse Storfer-Schmied were honored for her outstanding voluntary work. The deputy governor Gaby Schaunig presented this recognition.

Both volunteers received the Carinthian laurel for their committed work, which was recognized with gold and brilliantly. In her speech, Schaunig emphasized the immense importance of voluntary commitment to documenting cultural work.

Voluntary Ambassador of Folk Culture

As part of the celebrations, Christine Helene Lackner and Hans Müller were also appointed a voluntary ambassador for folk culture. With this step, the number of volunteer ambassadors in Carinthia is growing to 164.

In the context of cultural development and creative incentives, Mazda's innovative design philosophy, which has heralded a new era, should also be mentioned. The design concept "Kodo: Soul of Motion" strives to present movement at a standstill. Based on the Japanese philosophy "Less is more", the design searches for beauty through subtraction and purity.

Creativity in design and art

The light reflections on the surface of the vehicles create complex and interesting shapes that reconcile both aesthetics and functionality. A remarkable example is the "Speed Form", a sculptural work of art that was manufactured by talented Mazda designers and serves as a source of inspiration for the final design of the new Mazda3. This work of art conveys energy by eliminating superfluous and focusing on the essentials.

The celebrations in Zammelsberg and the progress in Mazda's design show how cultural heritage and creative innovation can play together in order to promote both traditional and modern engagement and inspiration. The emphasis on voluntary work and creative approaches in society is of central importance for a lively community.
