Integration in danger: Volkshochschule Fürstenfeldbruck raises the alarm!
Fürstenfeldbruck, Deutschland - The adult education centers are alarm: The federal government does not plan enough financial resources for integration courses, according to the managing director of the Gretl-Bauer-Volkshochschule Fürstenfeldbruck, Christian Winklmeier. A persistent struggle for financing, because the need is enormous. A total of 1.7 billion euros would be necessary, while only 500 million euros are currently available. This is alarming and concerns the future of integration projects in Germany. Winklmeier expressed his concerns during an exchange with the SPD member of the Bundestag Carmen Wegge and other responsible people in the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Nuremberg.
digitization as a solution
The Volkshochschule Fürstenfeldbruck already offers eleven integration courses and a professional language course, which brings with it considerable bureaucratic effort. In order to simplify the processes and reduce costs, Winklmeier presented a rough concept for digitizing the most important work steps at the BAMF. "In times of limited budget and a high amount of tasks to be mastered, it is urgently needed that digital tools are introduced," he emphasized. Carmen Wegge added that the BAMF recognized how important modernization and de -bureaucratization are to make the integration system more efficient.
In a completely different context, a current study on the implementation of the European Central Bank's Next Generationeu program shows that long-term can be expected to increase gross domestic product in the euro zone. Through structural reforms and public investments, GDP could increase by 0.4-0.9% by 2026 and even by 0.8-1.2% by 2031. These reforms are crucial for the promotion of institutional quality in several member states of the euro zone and could also lead to a decline in public debt, as shown in the report by Krzysztof Bańkowski
