Industrial strategy 2025: Unions are calling for new impulses for Austria!
The Federal President of the Production Union (Pro-GE), Reinhold Binder, welcomed the plans of the Federal German government to an upcoming industrial strategy. Industrial policy in Austria has failed in recent years, said Binder. Instead of focusing on creating and maintaining value creation in Europe, the market was flooded with subsidized cheap products from China. Now, according to Binder, it is crucial that the new concept not only promotes innovation and growth in future technologies, but also strengthen raw material and recycling.
