Less evidence, more environment: government lowers bureaucracy for companies!
On March 12, 2025, the Austrian government in the Minister Council decided to have an important SME package that is intended to bring significant relief for companies. Rainer Treelik, chairman of the federal division trade in the Austria Chamber of Commerce, was pleased with the abolition of the prohibition of receipts for small amounts of up to 35 euros. This is not only a step towards bureaucracy relief, but also considerable progress in environmental protection. Industries such as bakeries, transformers and the food retail trade, which have to deal with a variety of small transactions, particularly benefit from it.
