A dramatic incident at the Schottentor caused a stir on Friday morning! At around 11 a.m., a driver performed a risky maneuver that forced a tram on lines D, 1 and 71 to emergency brake. These abrupt actions resulted in seven passengers falling on the tram and fortunately only sustaining minor injuries. The Vienna professional rescue team quickly rushed to the scene of the accident to care for the injured kosmo.at reported.
The incident caused significant disruption to public transport. Tram line D was interrupted for around 30 minutes and rerouted between Schwarzenbergplatz and Börse via Franz-Josefs-Kai. Line 1 was also affected and only ran between Karlsplatz and Julius-Raab-Platz via Stubenring. Line 71 was also restricted and only ran between Kaiserebersdorf and Schwarzenbergplatz.
