Uta Knebel: From the tenant association to parliament - Riesa has a new voice!

Riesa, Deutschland - The Saxon state election on September 1 has led to a significant realignment of the political landscape in Saxony. Uta Knebel, the former left-wing politician, has reached her long-awaited goal at the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) and is now part of the state parliament. Knebel, which has already run in vain three times, was able to successfully move in on the fourth attempt through a place on the state list and a strong election result for the BSW. It is part of the third largest parliamentary group in the state parliament after the CDU and the AfD, like Sächsische.de reported.

In the middle of these political upheavals, coalition negotiations are now in the room. The CDU, although it emerges as the strongest force, does not have the necessary majority and has therefore initiated discussions with the SPD about the formation of a minority government. In doing so, you have to obtain the support of other parties because you lack ten votes for the majority and a consultation mechanism is sought to enable the opposition to be integrated into legislative proposals at an early stage. This development was also recorded by the Leipziger Volkszeitung

The CDU is on the election on December 18 and is also looking for approval at BSW. Uta Knebel hesitantly commented on the decision as to whether she would choose CDU chairman Michael Kretschmer. She was skeptical of how his politics has changed for Saxony after the problems in the municipalities have further exacerbated. These uncertainties reflect the complex political situation in which Saxony is currently located, and the potential consequences could be extensive.
