SPÖ boss Babler calls on ÖVP for clear negotiations!

After the surprising exit of the NEOS from the coalition negotiations, there is a climate of uncertainty in Austrian politics. SPÖ boss Andreas Babler has made it clear that his party continues to be available for government formation and "our hand remains stretched out". He expressed this in a press conference that followed the failed negotiations, in which the NEOS set the negotiations abruptly three and a half months after the election. As OE24 , BABLER is now asking ÖVP chairman Karl Nehammer to start this willingness and start a new chapter of discussions.

criticism of neos and challenges for the ÖVP

BALLER practiced sharp criticism of the Neos, which in his opinion made partnership -tactical considerations about the state interests. He found that the NEOS had faked a will to reform while at the same time demanding a program that could not be fully implemented. The SPÖ boss emphasizes that in view of the currently tense budget situation in Austria, joint efforts are necessary and refers to the previous positive negotiations, which suddenly came to an end. According to Babler, the NEOS pointed out that the budget situation and an adaptation of the political approaches must be rethought in order to form a stable government, so The Burgenland governor Hans Peter Doskozil finally expects the formation of an expert government and then new elections, since the SPÖ currently has no mandate for the government. In addition, it remains to be seen how the ÖVP will react to yesterday's events after deciding to support Nehammer as their chairman in order not to endanger political stability. In the middle of this uncertain situation, the political path seems to be extremely challenging for everyone involved.
