Pupils fight for prices: MBS starts schedule exchange 2023!

The Mittelbrandenburg Sparkasse (MBS) has announced the start of its 42nd game round of the Börse business game, in which 49 teams from 19 schools in their business area are already taking part. This popular event, which is considered a valuable instrument to promote financial competence from young people, offers students the opportunity to deal with the complex mechanisms of the stock exchange trade without taking a financial risk. Interested schools and teams have the opportunity to register for the game until November 13th.

Andreas Schulz, the CEO of the Mittelbrandenburg Sparkasse, underlined the importance of the business game for financial education. He emphasized: "With the Budend Banking, the Sparkasse concretely promotes financial education as an essential part of its public mandate." This commitment is not only shown in the number of participating schools, but also in the way the game is structured. The participants receive a fictitious start -up capital of 50,000 euros, which you can use via an app or web version for buying securities to real courses on the Stuttgart Stock Exchange.

Conditions of participation and competition

In addition to the competition depot, the participants also have a training depot at their disposal that enables them to experiment with cryptocurrencies and certificates. This innovative approach to securities trading promotes not only the understanding of the stock exchange, but also the ability to deal with modern financial instruments.

Another remarkable aspect of the business game is the introduction of a sustainability assessment that has been part of the competition since 2009. The students have the opportunity to invest in sustainable companies and funds that are listed in the Global Challenges Index. This sets an important sign of responsibility in dealing with money flow and investment decisions.

The most successful teams have the chance of an adventure trip to London and attractive cash premiums. In addition, the East German Sparkassenverband (OSV) awards prizes to the best teams from Brandenburg and other East German federal states. The MBS itself has also awarded special prices for teams from their business area.

The game round will end on January 24, 2025, while the award ceremony will take place in Berlin on May 9, 2025. Such competitions are not only gratifying events for the students, but also contribute to the long -term promotion of financial competence in society. The plane, which has been carried out annually since 1983, has established itself as a valuable method to introduce young people into the world of financial trade.

The organizers encourage all interested school teams to participate. Further information and the possibility of registration are available online. To learn more about the business game and to register, See the current reporting on Meetingpoint-brandenburg.de.
