Students discover the community: A day at the Vice Mayor!
The Echsenbach elementary school causes a stir with two exciting activities. In an instructive visit to the municipal office, the third class under the direction of teachers Martina Smejkal and Zsuzsanna Jarosch met Vice Mayor Christian Kletzl. This received the students with open arms and informed them about the structures and functions of the community. A fictional mayoral election was even carried out, in which the children Sarah Litschauer became mayor. So they playfully got to know the processes of municipal politics and received a small booklet on community topics as a memory, reported Meinzirk.at.
But that was not all: environmental awareness very important! The second class of the elementary school, under the guidance of Martina Smejkal, recently gained fresh experiences in the so -called "green classroom" for the school garden. The students showed great enthusiasm and not only planted herbs, but also onions for spring bloomers. Mentor Christian Kletzl and the master gardener Andrea Meixner actively helped, so that the students not only learned to enjoy nature, but also developed important skills for the care of plants. Nön.at emphasized how school wants to raise awareness of plants and the environment through such projects.
With these initiatives, the Echsenbach elementary school sets a strong sign of education and environmental awareness. Children learn not only theory, but also practical skills and responsibility for their surroundings.
