East Tyrolean music talents conquer Vienna: Gold at the federal competition!
The national competition "Prima La Musica 2025" took place from May 28 to June 9, 2025 at the renowned University of Music and Performing Art in Vienna. Eight young talents from the state music schools Lienzer Talboden and Sillian-Pustertal shone as part of this competition and were awarded gold and silver medals. These successes underline the high musical level and the commitment of the teachers as well as the families of the participants in East Tyrol, as East Tyrol today reported.
The services of the participants in different categories were particularly outstanding. In the trumpet, two brothers, Tobias and Matteo Landsfried scored 91.50 and 91.80 points and both won the 1st price (gold). Matteo Lanser also convinced and received a gold medal with 90 points. In the saxophone area, Annika Tiefnig also won the 1st price with 90 points. Luis Bürgler made it into the gold category of the horn with 90.75 points, while Luis Lanzinger won the 2nd prize (silver) with 82.75 points.

Another highlight of the competition was the guitar ensemble "Saitzauber", consisting of Laura Duracher and Maria Girstmair, which in the chamber music category received the 1st price with 92.40 points. These impressive achievements were supported by the teachers of the music schools: Markus Stotter, Johann Moser, Martin Mairer and Rainer Annewandter.
