Austria's highlight on the Expo 2025: Future and innovation in focus!
Vienna, Österreich - The Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, opened its doors on April 13, 2025 and will take place until October 13, 2025. With the motto "Designing Future Society for our Lives", the event presents itself as a platform for innovation and global exchange. Austria is represented with its own pavilion, which is under the credo "Composing the Future". The Austrian appearance costs 21.5 million euros, with three quarters of the financing from the public sector and a quarter from the Chamber of Commerce.
The pavilion, planned by BWM Designers & Architects and implemented by the Nüssli Group, extends over 800 square meters. A striking feature is a sculptural "note band" made of wood, which serves as an eye -catcher and symbolizes the connection of music with innovation and future topics. In addition, around 90 lighthouse projects are presented in the “Innovation Lab Austria”, which focus on the innovative strength and the sustainable design of Austria.
