Mozart's masterpieces live: summer concerts in the legendary Mozarthaus!

In the summer of 2025, the Mozarthaus Vienna will host a special concert series entitled “MOZART’S HERITAGE”. This series will be led by the talented pianist SoRyang, who will present masterpieces by Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. The concerts take place in the historic ambience of the Mozarthaus, where Mozart himself lived from September 1784 to April 1787.

The concert dates are scheduled for every Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. The first concerts start on June 3rd and run until September 16th, a total of 12 dates are offered. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program that includes pieces such as the popular and easy-to-play Rondo in D major (KV 485), the demanding Fantasy in C minor (KV 475), the important Sonata in C minor (KV 457) and the Twelve Variations on "Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman" (KV 265).

Concert details and ticket information

The concerts last one hour each. Tickets are available for 28 euros, reduced for 24 euros and for children and young people under 20 for 20 euros. Tickets can be purchased at the museum ticket office, which is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and online at Wien Ticket.

The Mozarthaus Vienna, located at Domgasse 5, 1010 Vienna, is not only a place for performances, but also a place for cultural education. It offers insights into Mozart's life and work, especially his years in Vienna. The Mozart apartment on the first floor is Mozart's only surviving apartment in Vienna and shows many details about the composer and his work.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – A musical legacy

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, born on January 27, 1756 in Salzburg, is considered one of the most important composers in music history. Despite his early successes, he had to overcome numerous financial difficulties throughout his career. Before he died in Vienna on December 5, 1791, he had created countless works, including operas, symphonies and chamber music.

His most significant life events include the first performance of the opera “The Abduction from the Seraglio” in 1782 and the composing of numerous masterpieces in Vienna. The concerts at the Mozarthaus are a wonderful opportunity to rediscover and celebrate Mozart's musical legacy.
