Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - An exciting evening in the Manz Beletage: On February 26, 2025, a moving reading took place, which took guests into the most turbulent times of the 20th century. The Manz Verlag presented impressive historical correspondence from 1918 to 1945, performed by actress Maria Fliri and the program manager Christopher Dietz. These letters revealed the immense pressure situation under which the publisher suffered during the political upheaval, among other things, by the censorship of a poem by Heinrich Heine, as it is addressed in an original letter. The new comic about constitution and rights
At the same time, Manz Verlag presented a newly published comic in cooperation with the Jewish Museum Vienna in another event, which aims to bring young people closer to the Austrian federal constitution. Entertaining illustrations and lively everyday situations help to make complex legal content understandable. Barbara Staudinger, director of the Jewish Museum, emphasized the importance of the comic: "The booklet celebrates the Austrian Federal Constitution and the values that are stipulated in it." The presentation attracted many interested parties, including about 100 guests from the areas of law, education and culture, such as Manz.at . The highlight of the event was a reading by the actor Cornelius Obonya, who brought the comic to life with his lively narrative style. Wolfgang Pichler from the Manz management emphasized how important it is to convey constitutional values in an entertaining way.
