Chick adventure in Heinfels: Students make life slip!

Heinfels, Österreich - The students: Inside the second school level of elementary school Heinfels carried out an exciting and instructive project under the motto "From the egg to the chick". As part of this interdisciplinary project, they researched the fascinating development process of the chicks by building a professional incubator. The children followed the processes every day and were able to build deeper knowledge of animals and nature.

In order to put the theory into practice, the students designed: inside a chick enclosure that they themselves assembled and painted individually. The exchange between the elementary school students was particularly gratifying: inside and the kindergarten children who also took part in the project. This promoted an estimated social contact between the younger and older children.

A special highlight of the project was the teaching day, which was moved to a nearby farm. This day was organized by Anita Steinringer as part of the "School at the farm" initiative. Here the children were able to experience up close how animals are kept and what tasks farmers take on. This excursion aroused great interest and enthusiasm among the students: inside.

The emotional moments were not long in coming when the first chicks slipped during the project. These events touched not only the children, but also the teachers and parents involved. The students received support: Inside from the expert Julia Walder, who helped with the care and medical care of the chicks.

During the project, the students wrote: inside songs, wrote essays and painted pictures that reflected their enthusiasm for the chicks. Franziska Walder and Kordula Lukasser also took care of the chicks outside of classes to ensure that they were well looked after.

The end of the project was celebrated in a solemn atmosphere with the Georg Großlechner School Sillian in the gymnastics hall of the elementary school Heinfels. Here the students kept: proudly on the inside their chicks in their hands and were able to reflect on the experienced. This initiative not only shows the commitment of the teachers and students, but also the strong connection to nature and the value of community projects.

Heinfels, the third largest community in the Lienz district, not only offers a wonderful geographical location, but also a close community that appreciates traditions and family strongly. These cultural aspects are visible in projects such as "from the egg to chick" by expanding both the knowledge of nature and promoting important social skills.
