Kranichzauber: Dieter Damschen presents his impressive photos!

A passionate nature photographer who has been capturing the majestic cranes for over thirty years-that's Dieter Damschen! Despite his impressive collection of thousands of recordings, the fascination for these lucky birds remains unbroken. "When I see cranes, I immediately feel the urge to activate the camera," Damschen describes his insatiable passion. The cranes who run across the landscape and meet their trumpet calls are not only a sight, but also an acoustic experience that inspires people in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Vernissage on Wednesday-a festival for the senses!

The highly expected vernissage of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, November 6th, at 6 p.m. in the foyer of the Haus der Kultur und Bildung (HKB). Claudia Müller, the Neubrandenburg nature photographer, is pleased to present the highest aesthetic pictures of Damschens. "We are proud to be able to show his impressive crane pictures," she says. Damschen, who lives in Lower Saxony, specializes in the cranes and shows his best works that will be shown in the HKB until February 28, 2025.

Dieter Damschen, who discovered his love for nature photography in the 1980s, is known for its impressive shots, which often arise in the loneliness of nature. "To find the calm I need, I often go to forays at dawn," he explains. His pictures show the impressive gray cranes, which can grow up to 130 centimeters and reach a wingspan of up to 2.20 meters. "The cranes are a symbol of freedom and change, and their arrival in autumn is a spectacular event," adds Müller.
