Kevin Elb fights for children: Christmas stombola full of hope and help!
On November 30, 2024, a touching Christmas campaign for the support of sick children in Vorarlberg and a humanitarian visit to Brazil will be focused on by a committed circle of friends. Vol.at reports on the moving history of Kevin Elbs, who suffered at lymphatic cancer at the age of 15. Despite his difficult past, Kevin is now actively committed to a Christmas bombola, the entire income of which directly benefits from the affected children and their families. This initiative supports four selected families and organizations such as "Husky-Tonis Children's Dream" and "Hour of the Heart".

Until December 12th, donations can be submitted in the form of benefits in kind and sums of money. Kevin, who is 23 years old and in terms of health today, knows from his own experience how important help is in such dark times. In an interview, he explains: "I still remember exactly the time when I was in the hospital and how wonderful it was when other people helped me." As part of the raffle, he actively promotes participation and collects prices to provide the families affected a bit of relief.
Meanwhile, the Sauerlandkurier on the important trip of a five-person delegation of the Freundeskreis Pirpirituba to Brazil. The group visits various projects in northeastern Brazil, which have been supported with over 2.5 million euros since 1992. A central project is a center for psychotherapy that offers children with special needs such as autism or learning disabilities. Here the sponsorship children also benefit from regular support.

Peter Berkenkopf, a member of the Freundeskreis, describes the atmosphere: "The gratitude that flows towards you can be felt in the air. This still causes goose bumps even after 32 years." The association has set itself the task of giving the children in Brazil's opportunities for education and social support through its projects in order to enable them to have a better future.
