Student numbers and courses
This winter semester, around 1,200 bachelor and 400 master students have enrolled at the HTWK Leipzig. This leads to a total of around 6,500 students at the university. The bachelor's degree programs in social work and business management are particularly in demand. The media production course is new this year, which is also highly demanded. In addition, the fields of civil engineering and international management are very popular.
"With the most number of enrolled in Saxony, our university is the largest University of Applied Sciences in the Free State. In addition, we have reached the top ten rankings in Germany this year," explained Prof. Müller.
The HTWK Leipzig has set itself the goal of going beyond the limits of pure engineering and seeing technology as part of social development. Prof. Müller emphasizes that every technological progress also has social changes. The transfer of knowledge from universities in practical applications changes working worlds and influences the social structure. "We are aware of this responsibility," continued Müller.
