gender at school: an important topic

at a time when gender justice in education is becoming increasingly important, the correct gender of students is also becoming the subject. Various methods of gender in schools are discussed: from gender -neutral spelling that includes all genders, to the use of special characters such as the gender star. These methods are crucial to address all students alike and promote inclusion. According to [Studyflix], many find this gender-neutral spelling easiest in use, since it also includes non-binary persons.

The Fichtelgebirgsreisschule and the “Klimamacher 2.0” competition not only show creative engagement for climate protection, but also, how important it is to promote including language at school. These initiatives are important step by step in order to sharpen consciousness among students for various topics and to shape a sustainable future.
