Kamobo, Kenia - In the west of Kenya, a new hope for the youth arises: The association "Arbing Meets Africa" ​​has started to build a Junior Secondary School in order to meet the new requirements of the Kenyan education system. The association has been running the "Arbing School Kamobo" since 2015 and the opening of the new school is planned for October 2025. "Education is a key to fighting poverty and sustainable development," emphasizes chairman Heinz Wegerer. This initiative is intended to maintain disadvantaged children from rural regions better educational opportunities and thus break through the cycle of poverty. In the new school, up to 150 pupils between the ages of 12 and 15 are taught, with at least half of the places intended for girls to promote gender equality. These projects not only rely on the commitment on site, but also benefit from initiatives such as Stars for Africa , who support over 1,400 students in and around Arusha. The organization also promotes the education sector by renovating classrooms and providing school materials. Stars for Africa has also initiated projects in South Africa since 2021, in which up to 100 children are provided with a warm meal every day.
