New residential area in Charlottenburg: 337 apartments on Mierendorffinsel!
On the Mierendorffinsel in Berlin-Charlottenburg, the residential project "Hey Charlottenburg" takes on concrete forms in which a total of 337 new apartments are to be built. On November 7, 2024, an important milestone was celebrated with a topping -out ceremony for the sub -project "Haus 12". This building offers 66 socially funded and two freely financed rental apartments and is managed by the state -owned Degewo. The construction of the new residential buildings that are built on a former commercial area should be completed in the first quarter of 2026, such as Developmentstadt.de
Details on the construction project
The overall project "Hey Charlottenburg" comprises twelve new buildings and a daycare center as well as a small commercial unit. The total area will be over 25,000 square meters, and the long -term vision includes an energy -efficient construction. The architectural planning comes from the KSP Engel Architects office. Another interesting addition to the project is a newly designed open space that was adapted by suggestions from the residents. Various facilities will be available here in the future, including bicycle parking spaces and a climbing course.
The location will not only be attractive for families and commuters by the proximity to the Spree and the good connection to the Mierendorffplatz subway station, but also by the planned environment, which is historically defined by industrial use, but is now being changed. As charlotte.maxbrauerquartier.de , similar developments are also planned in the area to counteract the lack of living space in urban areas.
