New organic center in Liesing: groundbreaking for sustainable future!

On January 30, 2025, the starting signal for the construction of an impressive new logistics center at Dennreee GmbH in Vienna Liesing was given. With an investment of 14 million euros, a modern headquarters will be created here, which is not only designed to be environmentally friendly, but also meets the requirements for contemporary goods logistics. Mareike Nossol, Managing Director of Dennree GmbH, described the building as a "clear commitment to the expansion of the Austria location" and emphasized the importance of the extended storage options for Denns biom markets and for wholesale customers. Thanks to innovative construction, the new building is operated in a climate -friendly manner and offers a total area of around 12,000 m², including 2,900 m² green roof areas and a photovoltaic system for electricity generation.

The project combines all administration and logistics employees at one location. "We want to promote a better understanding of the big whole," said Oliver Dobbs, Managing Director of Denns Biomarkt Austria. This is achieved by merging the previously separate locations. Gerald Bischof, the district leader of Liesing, was pleased with the choice of location and emphasized the dynamic economic structure of the 23rd district, which not only houses 7,000 companies, but also secures numerous jobs. "Denn's organic market stands for sustainability and ecological commitment. These values go well with Liesing," added Bishop.

The new headquarters are expected to be completed in early 2026 and is the result of a collaboration with Ferro & Partner ZT GmbH and Weissel GmbH. The Dennree Group, known as the leading organic wholesaler, has established itself as the market leader in German-speaking countries thanks to its extensive range and reliable logistics. There are already 34 markets in Austria that offer a wide range of organic products. This can also be seen in the shelves of Denns biom markets, which are equipped with over 9,000 bio-certified articles, that offer customers everything for a sustainable life.
