New projects for free sea access started in footach!
In the municipality of Fußach on Lake Constance, access to the lake is redesigned. Just 350 meters of a total of 8 kilometers of the bank line are currently accessible to the public, which Mayor Thomas Fitz feels insufficient. In order to increase the attractiveness of the lake and make it tangible for the population, three specific projects are now being planned. These will not only improve direct access to the water, but also offer leisure options.
The first project includes the construction of a jetty at the Hörnlebad, whose plans are to be presented in the coming weeks. In addition, further projects are planned over the next ten years, including a canoe slip system, from which visitors can slide into Lake Constance with canoes. The development of sea access to the Ache is also on the list of projects. Despite the high costs, Fitz emphasizes that an investment in the accessibility of the lake in the sense of the population is essential. According to , such a measure is particularly important, since the sea access in Vorarlberg is limited compared to other Austrian regions and the banks of Bodensee.

The projects will not only increase access to the water, but also give people a better way to enjoy nature and leisure time on the water. Mayor Fitz's project is seen as an important step towards a lively and more accessible bank landscape, which benefits residents and visitors to Lake Constance.
